Carley Foundry was named a finalist in the 2018 Casting Contest at the Investment Casting Institute's 65th Annual Technical Conference & Exposition for our Emitter Housing casting. Senior Sales Engineer Marlo Swedzinski is quoted in their magazine, explaining the challenge of the casting and how it was overcome. "The challenge they [the customer] faced...was in addressing tooling costs against the annual need of five to ten parts per year." Swedzinski suggested 3D-printed patterns until such time that part volume justifies tooling costs.
