Low-Pressure Permanent Molding, or "Low-pressure die casting", offers excellent metal quality and process control in addition to the dimensional repeatability of conventional permanent mold. In this process molds are filled from below with a controllable injection profile so turbulence and the associated metal quality problems are negated. Low Pressure castings are solidified under pressure of up to 13 psi to ensure a complete fill and high integrity. Carley Foundry has four custom built machines with state of the art controls producing parts weighing from 2 to over 100 lbs in a variety of alloys. With our technical "know how" low pressure castings with internal sand cores or ferrous inserts are done on a routine basis at Carley Foundry.
